Missouri Association of Municipal Utilities

We were able to convince the Missouri Senate and Governor Parson to provide fifty million dollars in zero interest loans to these communities and saved them from financial ruin.
Aflac
Worked with the Department of Insurance on language that would protect supplemental insurance from insurance mandates. This language ensures that the customers get what they pay for. The language developed here in Missouri has become the national model language.
The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority
KCATA had to come before the legislature every few years to renew their sales tax. This made it more costly to borrow money through bonding requirements. We were able to make the tax permanent and they can now borrow money for projects at a much cheaper rate.
Missouri Treasurer’s Association
Passed legislation last year that requires county treasurers to get the information they need to do their jobs. Treasurers were told by some county commissioners to sign checks when all the information needed was not present. This legislation ensures the checks and balances are in place. Several county commissioners opposed the bill.
